Code Enforcement
Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Department is dedicated to maintaining the safety, health, and aesthetic quality of our community by ensuring compliance with city ordinances and state laws. Our team addresses public nuisances, upholds building codes, and works proactively to preserve the charm and safety of our neighborhoods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Investigating citizen complaints related to property maintenance, zoning, and public nuisances.
- Conducting property inspections to ensure compliance with zoning regulations, setbacks, and other local ordinances.
- Issuing building permits and offering guidance on building code requirements to ensure safe and lawful construction practices.
We value the partnership and cooperation of our community members, whose efforts contribute to making our city a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Meet the Supervisor: Amanda Harris
Amanda Harris, though new to her role as Code Enforcement Supervisor, has been a proud Oklahoman since 2004. Her commitment to the community runs deep, as she plans to make her home in the area she serves—a community she describes as charming, safe, and serene, and the perfect place to raise her children.
Amanda admires the dedication of local residents who work tirelessly to keep the city thriving and beautiful. She believes that collaboration and mutual respect between the department and community members are key to maintaining the high standards that make our city so special.
When she’s not working to uphold city ordinances and resolve citizen concerns, Amanda enjoys exploring local parks, supporting community events, and spending time with her family. She’s passionate about fostering a safe, welcoming environment for all who call this community home.
